You are not required to register to use the site. However, there are many benefits to becoming a registered user. As a registered user you will have access to many great features such as:
- Downloading and printing images.
- The ability to create collections of images.
- The ability to email collections of images.
- View larger images.
- And many
more.

Click the button.
On the right side of the registration page, provide the information requested.
Check the box indicating that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of the site.
Click the button.
NOTE:
Please write down your username and password so you do not
forget them. If you forget or lose your password, click the "forgot your password" link
and it will be emailed to you.

Registered users can take full advantage of all of our website's features by signing in when they visit. After you have signed in, the site will remember you for a certain length of time. It may prompt you to sign in again in order to use the extra features.

To sign in, click the button.
On the left side of the sign in page, enter your username and password in the space provided.
Click the

In the artists search pages you can view the list of all the artists with work currently on our site. The artists are listed alphabetically along with thumbnail images representative of their work.

To find a particular artist, click the link corresponding to the first letter of their last name. A search page containing all artists from that section of the alphabet will appear.
Locate the desired artist and click on their name. This will bring you to the artist folio page.
NOTE: Film Art LA represents over 300 artists. Although we are updating and adding to our site everyday, not all of our artists have their work online yet. If you are looking for a particular image or artist and cannot find them on our site, please call us at 323-461-4900 and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you.

After clicking a specific artist, you will be brought to that artist's folio pages. The artist's folio pages display all the images currently available online. Here you can browse thumbnail images, find information regarding size and price and view and print larger images.

A folio page will show a
maximum of 16 images at a time. To view the next page of images,
click pages "2", "3", etc. under the artists
name to see more folio pages by the same artist.

As a registered user you
have the option of viewing and printing a large sample version
of any image.
To do this, click "download / print" link
below the desired image.
To print:
PC users : In the pop-up window, click the
button.
MAC users: In the pop-up window, click the button, then click the print option on your browser.
To download:
PC users - Using the mouse,
right-click on the large image. Select "Save Picture
As…".
MAC
users - Click and hold on the image. Select the "Download Image to Disk" option
from the pull-down menu that appears. Choose the destination
file where you want to save the image. Click "Save" and
the image will begin to download to the chosen location.

If you would like to know
details about an image, click the "information
/ price" link
below the thumbnail of the image.
In the pop-up window that appears you will see such details as the artwork's title, dimensions, and medium.
You may also email this image and its information to someone else by clicking the
button.

Here's a helpful function that allows you to place a variety of different images into your own personal collections. This gives you quick access to all your favorite images whenever you visit www.filmartla.com. You can also easily print your collections or email them to other people.

While browsing an artist's
folio simply click on "add to collection" below
the desired image.
To add multiple images at once, place a check in the checkboxes of all works you'd like added to your collection. You may select as many as you like. Click the button. You will find this button near both the top and the bottom of the page.
In the pop-up window that appears you are given two options:
1) You can name & create a
new collection to add the images to. To do this, simply type
the name of your new collection into the text box entitled "create
a new collection". When finished, click .
Or
2) You may add
the images to a previously created collection. To do this,
simply click the drop down menu and select the name of the
collection you would like to put the images in. The site provides
you with a default collection called "Lightbox 1".
When finished, click .
Once the images are added, you may now close the pop-up window.
To view your collection, click the
button.
NOTE: "Lightbox
1" cannot be deleted. You can empty it by deleting each image individually.

To view and manage a collection that you have created, click the button located at the top of the page.
In the pop-up window that appears, you will be able to view and manage your various collections.
To look at different collections,
select the desired collection from the "collection title" drop
down menu, then click .
You can save notes for individual images by typing your text into the textbox below the image. Then click
to save the text.

To print an entire collection,
Select the desired collection from the "collection title" drop
down menu, then click .
PC users: Click the button.
Mac Users: Click the button, then click the print option on your browser.

To email your entire collection
to someone else, Select the desired collection from the "collection
title" drop down menu, then click .
Click the button.
In the pop-up window that appears you must enter the recipient's email address and your own email address. Click the button when finished.
The recipient has now been sent a link to your collection. They will be able to view your collection along with any notes you have saved. They will also be able to print your collection. They will not be able to make any changes to your collection or your FilmArtLA account.
IMPORTANT: Do not delete the collection until it has been viewed. When you email your collection you are sending only a link, not the actual image files. Deleting your collection will make it un-viewable to others.
